PRIVACY POLICY

We take your privacy really seriously. Our top priority is to protect all personal information you share with us. Every piece of personal data collected on our platform is handled carefully, following applicable data protection rules and basic ethical standards. This Privacy Policy explains how we act as a data controller when working with your personal data.

When you browse our site, register an account, or use our services and related digital products (all together called the “Services”), you confirm you have read this policy, understood what it says, and agree to all the practices laid out here.

Scope of the Services

Our Services may work together with third-party providers. Some of these partners are located outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and other regional jurisdictions.

To keep aligned with global data protection laws, we put safeguards in place. We sign standard data processing agreements, run regular compliance checks, and use end-to-end encryption when we transfer sensitive data.

Just a note: any third-party platforms or tools integrated into our Services operate on their own. We cannot fully control how they manage user data. If you have questions about how these third parties process your information, reach out directly to our Data Protection Officer.

Types of Information We Collect

We gather personal and non-personal information when you use our Services. This includes data generated from your interactions, information you choose to submit, and data we get from trusted third-party sources, such as identity verification services, social platforms, and analytics tools. The information we collect includes, but is not limited to:

  • Network and device data: IP address, device model, operating system version, browser type and settings, and connection details like Wi-Fi information and connection speed.
  • Profile and account information: username, email address, phone number, hashed password, your profile preferences, and data pulled from social login (only if you give permission).
  • Usage and behavioral data: pages you visit, how long you stay on our Services, features you try, search queries, and content interaction metrics.
  • Submitted content: messages sent through in-app chat, form entries, feedback, survey answers, and user content you post on our platform.
  • Transaction and financial data: payment details handled by secure third-party payment gateways. We do not store your full card details. We keep purchase history and billing information.
  • Demographic and contextual data: age group, language preference, and rough geographic location based on your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location data.

Tracking Technologies and Cookies

We use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking tools to make our Services work better and tailor things to you. Cookies are small text files saved on your device. They help us recognize returning users, remember your preferences such as language settings, and improve overall service performance. We split cookies into two groups:

  • Essential cookies. These are required for the basic functions of our Services and do not need your consent.
  • Non-essential cookies. We use these for analytics, personalization and advertising. Where local law requires it, we will only turn these on after you give clear consent.

You can adjust your cookie choices via your browser or device settings. Keep in mind that turning off non-essential cookies may mean some personalized features stop working properly.

Third-Party Information Processing

We work with approved third-party partners to help run our Services. This group includes analytics providers, payment processors, and marketing platforms.

Analytics partners process usage data based on our legitimate interests. Their work helps us find ways to improve the service, spot user behavior trends, and fix technical problems.

Advertising partners may use tracking tools to show customized ads and measure campaign performance. This will only happen when your local laws require your consent and you provide it.

These third parties can act either as data processors working for us, or as independent data controllers. Their own privacy policies govern how they handle data. Our Services may also include social media features like share buttons. Using these features may send data to the corresponding social platform, and their privacy terms will apply to that data.

Sharing and Disclosure of Information

We may share your information only in the situations listed below:

  • With trusted third-party vendors that carry out essential tasks for us, for example cloud hosting, customer support, and fraud detection.
  • When we must share data because of laws, regulations or legal requests. This includes court orders, subpoenas, or lawful requests from government bodies.
  • To protect our legitimate business interests, rights, property or safety, or the safety of our users. This covers preventing fraud, keeping the Services secure and protecting users.

We will never sell your personal data to third parties for their own marketing or commercial use unless you explicitly give us consent, and you can take that consent back anytime. You can withdraw consent for this sharing through your account settings.

Purposes of Data Processing

We process your personal information for these lawful purposes, complying with applicable data protection laws:

  • To deliver, maintain, secure, and improve the functions and reliability of our Services.
  • To customize your experience by adjusting content, recommendations and settings to match your preferences.
  • To provide customer support, answer your questions and resolve technical issues.
  • To run analysis and research to optimize service performance and build new features.
  • To securely process transactions, verify payments, and manage subscriptions or refunds.
  • To send you service updates and administrative notifications. We will only send promotional messages with your consent. You can opt out of non-essential marketing messages any time.
  • To support social features, integrations with third-party platforms and user interactions where available.
  • To detect, stop, and investigate fraud, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To meet legal obligations such as tax reporting, regulatory requirements and data retention rules.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

Depending on your location, you have certain rights over your personal data. These rights may include:

  • The right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
  • The right to request deletion of your personal data, also known as the right to be forgotten, under certain conditions.
  • The right to restrict how we process your data in specific circumstances.
  • The right to receive your data in a machine-readable format, or ask us to transfer it to another controller (data portability).
  • The right to object to data processing where we rely on legitimate interests.

If you want to submit a request about your personal data, please contact our Data Protection Officer. We will respond to valid requests within the legally required timeframe. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request to protect your information.

Data Retention

We will keep your personal data only for as long as we need it, to fulfill the purposes we collected it for, or to satisfy legal requirements.

Account related data will be stored until you delete your account. After account deletion, we will retain limited data as needed to meet tax, legal or fraud prevention requirements. Usage logs are kept for a limited period and then removed or anonymized. Transaction records are retained in line with applicable accounting and tax laws. Once data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it.

Data Transfers Outside the EEA

Some of our data processing partners are located outside the EEA. When we transfer personal data to countries without an adequacy decision from the European Commission, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to protect your data. We also put extra technical safeguards in place to secure these transfers.

Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not intended for anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected data from a child without proper parental consent, please get in touch with our DPO and we will remove the information promptly.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we make material changes, we will notify you through our platform, for instance by posting a notice on our website or sending an in-service notification. The updated version will show the revised date at the top. Continuing to use our Services after updates means you accept the revised policy.
